In keeping with St Benedict's Rule, guests coming to New Norcia can stay at the Monastery Guesthouse.
Hidden behind the walls of the southern cloister, the guesthouse offers guests the opportunity to experience true Benedictine hospitality.
For those wishing to experience the peace, quiet and prayer of the monastic community.
Relax away from the every-day pressures of life and experience Benedictine hospitality.
Spiritual direction is available on request.
The guesthouse can accommodate 24 guests.
There are 6 single rooms and 1 twin share room with shared facilities and eight twin-share rooms with
en-suites.
All rooms are available to adults and secondary students.
Individual or group bookings are welcome.
The rate of $75 per person per night is a donation to cover our costs of providing Guesthouse accommodation and Monastery services. However, we like to think that our recommended donation does not prevent anyone from benefiting from staying at the Guesthouse. Therefore, for those who are unemployed or in special need, there is no fixed donation. Any contribution within your means would be welcome. We also hope that those who can afford more may subsidise others not so well off by donating more.
All are welcome to join the Benedictine community for the daily celebration of the Divine Office and Eucharist. On most Saturday afternoons a Benedictine monk or sister will give a ten minute talk on “What we do and why we do it”, with optional discussion to follow for any guests or visitors who are interested.
